Basic Coat Sealer
Professional 2K-PU sealant for lasting surface protection
SA Basic Coat is a high-performance, two-component water-based polyurethane coating that delivers long-term protection for walls and floors finished with Stone Age decorative systems. Developed for professional use, it offers excellent elasticity, strong resistance to colourless chemicals, and a matte, non-yellowing finish.

Shake the A-component well before mixing. Add the B-component at a 4:1 ratio and mix evenly. Only mix what you can use within 4 hours. Apply evenly with a 2K PU roller at a minimum surface and air temperature of 15°C. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and wax. Avoid placing tape on the finished surface at any time to prevent damage.

SA Basic Coat is a vital part of the Stone Age finishing system. Apply over decorative finishes such as Basebeton or BetonCiré to seal and protect against wear and chemical exposure. Whether used in a single or two-coat system, it creates a seamless, matte finish that enhances durability. For optimal results, always apply on a well-prepared, dry surface and complete any second coat within 12 hours.

What is SA Basic Coat used for?
It’s a protective topcoat for cement-based finishes like Basebeton and Beton Ciré.
Can it be applied in one or two layers?
Yes. Use one coat at 100 ml/m² or two coats at 50 ml/m² each.
How long does it take to dry?
It becomes walkable after 2 hours, with full chemical resistance after 7 days.
Can I mix the full contents at once?
Only mix what you can apply within 4 hours at 20°C.
What type of roller should I use?
A 2K PU roller is recommended for even application.
Is it suitable for light-coloured surfaces?
Yes. The formulation is non-yellowing and safe for light or white finishes.
Can I place furniture or rugs immediately after application?
Wait 10–14 days before placing rugs, and ensure furniture has felt pads.
Can I use tape on a finished floor?
No. Tape should never be applied on the finished surface to avoid damage.
