Q: Are there other applications for Basebeton besides floors and walls?

Q: Can I apply Basebeton over existing tiles?

Yes, you can, and it saves a lot of demolition work. The condition is that the surface must be flat and stable. So first level the surface, then apply the concrete stucco. That way, you'll have a sleek concrete-look wall or floor in no time.

Q: Can I order Basebeton in any colour I want?

As a rule of thumb, you’ll need about one kilo of Base/Sense per square metre.

Q: How do I best prepare the substrate?

Make sure the substrate is flat, clean, and dust-free. The exact steps for levelling and pre-treatment depend on the type of surface. Check our application manual or contact us for advice.Prime the surface with Basebeton Primer. If the substrate is absorbent, dilute the primer 1:1 with water.

Step 01

SA Omni Shield is easy to apply with a microfiber roller in two thin layers. Mix component A and B in a 10:2 ratio, then add 10% water. Apply the first coat, wait 3–4 hours, and apply the second coat directly or after light sanding if more than 12 hours have passed. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and dust-free before application.
